Seems a bad situation but Brindley & Chicksen have shown they can play in a back 3 well enough and DKE and Tayloer can provide cover on the wings.

Also from reading comments from Sunderland fans, Patterson is a top goalie and unlucky not to be their No.1 this season.

We've been in much worse situations than this....

All this and above all score one or more goals than them please.

It's a bad situation to have none of usual starting back 3, wasn't expecting Lacey's absence.

Patterson gets rave reviews which is useful especially when a loan player is so baby faced.

    5-3-2 or 3-5-2 I would assume, in keeping with IB's way when he doesn't venture into a 4-3-3. I don't think he's a 4-4-2 man.

Rawlinson and Cameron was bad enough - losing Slocombe and Lacey on top of that is monumentally unlucky. So unlucky, that you might think those guys really had to keep themselves available...or the club did...was it avoidable in any way?

Whatever, we can still put a good 11 out there. Players like Brinds and Chicks have to play like giants at the back, and no non-performances further forward please and we should still have too much for them

    Correct.

Should still have more than enough to win the game.

All teams face the problem of injuries. That's where the strength of your squad and the expertise of the backroom boys (and girls) gets you through. We are neither worse nor better off than other NL teams in that regard. No excuses, please,

Really? I'd say in terms of the strength of our squad and the expertise of the backroom boys, we have a big advantage over the majority of teams in this division.
