No that's the ultimate aim, that's the best example of this system/approach and I'm sure many want to emulate.

Reach for stars as they say.

Haven't had a minute free today until now so will catch up and just how bad that performance and how disappointing the result is. Basically how high the NCM panic levels such now reach now we've lost.

The loss has been coming, we can't hope to play badly and win every game.

Some of the most exciting and successful football I have seen was under Warnock - clear it from the back and play in their half. Oh for a Phil Turner and Mark Draper type of player now.

Would they fit into the system though?

That was the biggest load of rubbish i have seen for ages... Whoever recommended Francis as a replacement for Doyle needs to find alternative employment. He couldn't win a raffle, never mind a tackle. Rodrigues has had one decent game against Barnet, since then he has been poor. He is overrated and inconsistent.. Roberts has now been found out, he cuts inside every time and either falls over, or gets dispossessed.. I dont know what game Burchnall was watching, but it definitely wasn't the one i was at..

The facts are we have about the 4th or 5th best budget this season, so play offs are likely with some good and bad results on the way, unless we buy our way out this division this is where we are.

    Just got back from Altrincham.

    My thoughts exactly.

Nearly 900 Notts fans made the effort to watch them are were served up that tripe.

Drapes would av gone by now as a 16/17 old to a prem side, makes yer think about Etete, maybe 2 seasons at national league level and banged in some goals may av been a better route to where he wanted to get.

Same for me but that was a long long time ago now. We've had many many managers since who have tried to emulate Warnock but without a Turner or Draper and more importantly without Warnock's ability.

Two seasons in a row we’ve failed to turn up for a game at Altrincham - worrying.

The biggest worry, though, is that our level of performance just hasn’t been good enough and we’re yet to deliver a really convincing performance (Barnet aside).

Also, not enough of the new signings have proved themselves yet - Vincent has yet to get 1 minute of game time (he’s this season’s Matty Wolfe); Taylor divides opinion; Nemane can’t get a start; Cameron has been good in parts; Mitchell is currently 9 goals behind the league’s top scorer; Francis makes Taylor look well-liked; and Palmer has been the pick of the bunch but isn’t enough to cover the deficiencies in midfield.

Allied to that, we aren’t getting the best out of our potential match winners, Ruben and Roberts (who should be fined for being suspended by October 2 - shocking, but that suggests he’s frustrated by the way things are currently going).

Time for IB, Doyle and the players to step it up a level in October and start delivering - especially as we’ve only played one decent side so far.
