    This 100%

I get where BF is coming from and was surprised by some of the comments - particularly the one accusing him of being a Wednesday troll. That just reinforces his comment about the cliquiness of this board. Unless you spend half your life on here you are persona non grata .

Re the OP; personally, I must still be in some sort of "end of lockdown honeymoon period" as I got some enjoyment out of that game (or maybe I'm just a weird masochist ). It was intriguing to see what new depths of gamesmanship Wycombe would trawl in order to stay in the game. I know we're not averse to a bit of gamesmanship, but that the other night was a different level. Never seen some of that stuff before.

We had them on the rack second half and fair play to our lads in not rising to the bait. It all goes to show what respect the rest of the league have for us. The way we went about trying to unlock that stubborn defence was great to watch. With a bit more composure and one goal, we would have ended up rolling them over good and proper. Wiles just gets better and better and how the hell have we signed Rathbone!

Thank our lucky stars that we have Warne. We could be lumbered with an "Ainscombe type" whose only game plan for a "small club" appears to be to frustrate the hell out of the other lot then move in for the kill.

The standard of football we're playing this season is superb. Long may it continue.

When in the Championship we were always accused by opposing managers and fans that could not beat us of spoiling tactics and industrial football. I would say that it was their way of justify not beating us.

Now we seem to be doing it to other clubs. And to one that finished above us in the championship, is above us now, has lost less games than us this season so far and has had less yellow and red cards than us this season.

    The arrogance is amazing.

    Warne has quoted:

“It’s a difficult style to play against,” said Warne of Wycombe’s way of playing, “hence why they keep a lot of cleam sheets and don’t lose many games.

“But I’m not going to say our style is better than their style because it’s not.

“They have a real togetherness, but their tactics just killed the tempo.

“That’s something we as coaches need to learn to combat.”

So I’ll ask the question again is pretending to be injured and trying to get a player sent off not cheating ?

If that’s the case then football is done.

The sad fact is that this happens in most Prem games every

Yes it is and it needs driving out of football. But how? Even some kids teams do it.

I swear that some actually do this in training
I only go on what I see and Wycombe are definitely cheats imo, sad thing is they have some good players so not sure why they think they need to do it

Always amazes me how we are described as a big physical side by the media. This lazy stereo typing is out of date.A lot more sides have bigger players in the squad than us.Our midfield is not the biggest but it is the best.

cont... tactics legal or not simple fact was we weren't good enough on the night to break them down. Out wide we were lacking. Only Wiles getting through gave us hope.
