    Todays Training Sessions

I know there is a sort of thread but I wanted to do a specific one to point out a few things, directly from it.

Firstly - how ****ing embarrassing is it that Howe, several times, had to say "you're standing still, you need to be moving" and then had to ****ing demonstrate.

That is basics, that is the stuff we teach in year 7 football club.

However, as said there were lots of smiles on faces which is really good to see.

I did note that Shelvey got called out several times and that Wilson was being used to demonstrate how Howe wanted stuff done.

But I still can't get over the first point.

We have a proper coach now-he speaks with authority and I think it'll be his way or get out of the team.

I watch a lot of those American car restoration shows. They often get an old classic which is worth saving-it looks a bit shit on the outside but when they sand blast it, they find it's much, much worse than they feared on the inside and the body is basically held together with rust. They often say that if they'd known how bad it was underneath, they wouldn't have bought it.

I think Howe is feeling like that after training with the players for just one day.

The good thing is with these shows is that, no matter how bad the car is, they always turn it round and end up with a show-stopper.

    Well...almost always...

I hope he does expose the underlying rusty shit we've been putting up with for years.

The more frustrated he gets, the more it will firm up in his mind who needs to go. I've seen Pep losing his mind while individually coaching players so I will not read too much into it. The key is how those players respond. I'd just fucking release Shelvey. Pay up his contract and boot him out. If Howe starts getting results out of donkeys like him and Jolo, you know the man is good.

Shelvey looks like a 15 year old, and 40 year old at the same time.
