    SPFL Covid fiasco

The bosses at the SPFL have again excelled themselves for the wrong reasons.
I cannot understand why these ‘clowns’ at the SPFL did not agree to St Mirren’s request to have their home game against Celtic last Wednesday evening cancelled due to them having numerous first players out due to Covid.
Thanks to that decision by the ‘clowns’ at the SPFL Dundee FC had to travel to for today’s game at Aberdeen with only 14 players including three goalkeepers due to five Dundee FC players self isolating as a fellow player has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
The Dundee FC assistant manager Dave MacKay had to register as a player to have three outfield players on the subs bench.
Celtic today also had to play a weakened team against St Johnstone due Covid-19 cases.
The Football authorities in England certainly appear to be ‘on the ball’ when it comes to requests from clubs for games to be postponed due to Covid-19 outbreaks in their Club.
In my opinion Neil Doncaster should be resigning as Chief Executive of the SPFL as he is out of touch with reality as far as the current Covid-19 virus situation in Scottish Football clubs who ultimately pay his lavish salary is concerned.

Get used to it Islay, this farce is here to stay, don't think crowds will be back in January, don't think stupid COVID rules are changing.

Whilst eejits believe in masks and politicians saying they dislike doubt this it will continue

Meanwhile in England racing and fitba went on as normal in the stands ...no one died

No one died - but someone might die as a result of one of the people at one of those events catching Covid, contacting another person elsewhere who contacts another who visits a relative in hospital with terminal cancer and a two week prognosis. That poor person could then test positive and die three weeks later - yes, that's right, with Covid.

Reading elsewhere that there are 34 people in ICU in Scotland with Covid; NHS is clearly stressed tae ***k. Not sure how many of the 34 contracted it in hospital and would have been in ICU anyway, but would be good to find out wouldn't it?

I have this comedy Monty python scene in my mind where they continually resuscitate someone dying till they get a positive test out of him

No one dies unless it's COVID and yet they still can't get it in the top ten.

But it’s a level playing field for all teams,

We watched the match in the pub today, 14 of the 16 that were booked to travel in the bus, at least we go home pissed but Covid free, according to saint nicola

Think I mentioned an elderly uncle of mine who was dying in a care home - daily Covid tests, all negative, until they got a positive one. He never showed any symptoms of Covid (how could he when he was hanging onto the world by a thread anyway?) and never had another Covid test after the positive one - he passed away within 28 days of the positive test and guess what was on the death certificate?

As long as the windows and / or door were opened in the pub you're OK.

Couldn't make it up. Except somebody did.
