Like all top level sport often the biggest difference in how players progress is what makes up the 3 inches between the ears. Michael Jordan, Martin Johnson, Jonny Wilkinson David Beckham, Joe Montana, Wee Gordon for us are all examples of that.

Some players, such as Joffy (or before him Batty) just believe they are good enough and don’t really worry about it.

The reason why I think Joffy (if he avoids serious injuries) will be a superstar is his attitude and outlook on the pitch. If he could give some of that to Harrison sure Harrison would be knocking on the England door but he can’t and that is why he cost us what he did and not 40m.

I still think he is a good player and I really like how he speaks and he seems a considerate thoughtful type from the interviews he gives.

When all our players are fully fit I suspect he may behind James in the pecking order.

Happy days that we seem to have a crop of youngsters coming through to push the first team too. I
You would have James over Harrison? Let's just say one can run the other can dribble defend and score I know who I would rather.
On the goals, the third one stood out for me as how many times I watch some games, and at the same situation players tend to smash the ball as the goalkeeper dives and I sit and wonder why the heck don't they just pop it over them? Harrison made a hard goal look easy teasing the keeper pretending he's going to shoot forcing him to the ground early and just popsie she goes.

Yup but I like Harrison a lot. James was unbelievably immense yesterday all over the pitch.

I think he has more confidence than JH - Harrison has the edge on shooting ability (I think a few coaches thought he might end up as a striker). Think James is a lot more direct, quicker and generally delivers the ball faster and into more dangerous areas.

On his day Harrison is capable of all that but on others just seems frozen. Happy is is part of our squad though.

Although he still made some wimpy challenges and pulled out of heading contests. Its amazing how a player can have a great game and everyone forgets all the s hit he's done before. Getting the ball stuck between his feet, getting caught out by raiding full backs, passing, inexplicably, to the opposition. All these things quickly forgotten cos of 1 good game.?? Wise up.
    what to score a Hatrick.

To see a Leeds hat trick away at West Ham you have to go back to 1927!

When he has good players around him he plays better maybe as there is less pressure - who knows but he is still young and his best years should still be ahead of him

Harrison is maybe a yard short of pace to ever be top level but his desire and work-ethic is outstanding and always has been.

His technical ability like his first touch, close control and dribbling is some of the best I've seen at Leeds (Raphinha aside) he just goes through phases with low confidence and it doesn't quite click for him so delighted his talent showed against Wet Spam.

Hope we get confident Harrison for a couple of months now on one wing and Raphinha on the other, not many teams outside top 6 got wingers of that quality to call on especially if Bamford is back because they both put a brilliant cross into the box.
