Just heard Perkins. He says he is VERY concerned.
One thing he did say was that Boro went after the EFL. They stopped the claim when the EFL agreed to go after Derby. That they have done with a vengeance. Are they afraid that if they don't go after us hammer and nail that Boro will restart their EFL action?
I fear the worst.
.... you'll never know dear, how much I love you........
Winviz approaching 80% now
I was sent a PM this morning saying....
I'm hearing there was a strong cross party emergency council meeting held tonight...at the council house ..and derby city council and labour group and lib dems and reform where they are looking at taking the stadium back into council control under a community asset....and a repossession notice will be served to a Mr Morris within 7 days, The land the stadium sits on is council owned......
Is it true? No idea but it takes MSD out of the equation and reduces the chances of Mel delaying any moves.......
I was of the understanding the council gave the land to dcfc, like an incentive to build the new stadium there as PP was in its infancy at that stage with the only other business on there and the first ever was DIPT or Derby industrial power tools, moved there from canal Street
There is, belatedly, a major council involvement now, MA...but I also think Stenson is right about the land.
Listening to the ‘sounds off’...we have MP’s involvement and at least one local MP describing the situation as ‘more hopeful’. Simon Jordan from Talk Sport is saying ‘a solution will be found’, Gary Neville is also making positive noises and even some Middlesbrough fans have started questioning Gibson’s motives and saying their ‘case’ should now be dropped...this was not what they wanted.
My take, reading between the lines, but with no claim to being ‘in the know’, is that Ashley is indulging in typical ‘brinkmanship’ but will eventually take over. That won’t help our nerves over the remaining January days, but I honestly think it will happen.
Enough damage may well have been done by then to make League One inevitable next season, but I remain confident we’ll survive. Whether Rooney remains as manager is something I am less confident of as a move to Everton seems ever more likely.
it will possibly be owed by a Gellaw, but the security will still attach to the ground. Also, if you look at the admin statement of affairs, £ 20m is showing as owed by DCFC to MSD as well - presumably because of cross guarantees.
Just read elsewhere that Alan Nixon has tweeted the following....
Derby. Admins hope to have this new funding by the weekend. Enough to get through season. This is why approaches for players have been turned down. Money really needs to be there … If not an awful lot of explaining to do.
Reasons to be cheerful part III ?
