    Hi Gents,

As a Newcastle fan, mum's dad played for the toon, my dad is a Baggies fan, I can first of all send my commiserations on being landed with that muppet.

Second we wasn't badly treated at all. We gave him a chance at first but when you watch a blind man dismantle a well drilled hard to beat time and sh!t talk the previous manager, the fans, the community from which he born into its impossible to persist with that support in all good faith.

When the penny drops for you guys. Go back and watch the villa fan pod cast, then the toon fans pod casts and you'll see the trend of incompetence and platitudes of BS he spouts you will be raging!

Third, when you are playing trash, fluking the odd win and his mates in the media are telling you 'you are lucky to have him', 'it's as good you ate gonna get', 'he's doing a great job, the fans are ungrateful' we will be there to buy you a pint and sympathise.

    The man is a fraud.

    Best of luck baggies

Unfair comment is that BB in my opinion.

I guess the same comment could be made about me, my stint only lasted 45 years from 1972 until 2017 and the early return from holidays and rushing back from business meetings so as not to miss a match.

There's very many reasons why people of any age ( Boingy is into his 60's like myself ) stop going to games, health, lack of funds, geographical etc.

I referer to myself as a "fan" these days, the word "supporter" is for the likes 0f yourself who hand over your cash and do the very hard yards travelling both home and away, I respect those who make this effort, the same effort and more that I made for 45 years but I don't think it's fair to knock the "fan" element, they're still deserving of making comment.

Just to give some context to my own lack of regular acceptance since Pardew took over, I've been asking myself quite a lot in recent times why I find it so hard to attend games and to watch us live on TV mate, it's actual taken a professional heath type to explain this to me.

Very complex stuff, I've struggled to understand myself at times in recent years and it can be things like this that affect people's decisions as it has with mine.

Hope you're keeping well BB and I'm really hoping Brucey can entice me back on a regular basis, I have a 4 1/2 year old grandson who I need to introduce the club to next season!

Sour grapes and have a lot of time for Newcastle. With all that money from a bunch of murdering scum - Howe was not exactly an inspiring appointment! Tell me what he’s achieved more than Bruce as a player and manager? Howe has been given lots of dosh and still getting it - where are you in the table?

Truth be told many here would have Bruce over Howe! In fact before Val came Howe’s name was banded around and not many jumped for joy!

    Funny old world!

You might be right about Bruce, but there is and always has been a clear unfair distain from your lot towards him. It's well publicised that he had near identical record to Benitez...one was idolised, the other pushed out.

He's been promoted a fair few times. One would be a fluke...four isn't. He's also kept your lot up with some p*ss poor players.

You're now finding your way to another clubs forum to trash him. I don't get the Geordie hatred toward Bruce. He was one of your own and treated like a mackem.

But my concern is this is not long term planning.

Val was supposed to be a long term plan - it didn't work that's for sure but the need for a long term plan remains.
A plan to get us playing the Baggies way- attractive , exciting stuff.

So we need a long term plan & a manager who buys into it

Bruce cannot be that answer surely? look at his record - see what the Geordies say about his tenure.

This season's gone - play offs at a scrape but we won't get promotion - anyway we would be battered week in week out in the Premiership.

I know Lai is the problem as he needs to get his money back asap but Bruce won't do that - do you think he will?
No one was saying big Sam or Steve Bruce was our long term manager all I know is they both would get us playing better football than the crap we've been suffering, if you look back at the recent posts I did say with the backing from the owner I would love Nuno X wolves boss quiet unassuming manager that gets the job done + gets his team playing good football ,

Totally agree Johnny! Who gives a flying f uck about a long term plan - the supporters want to see football played here and now! Likewise the current players need to play attractive football like Blackburn here and now! We might all be dead in four years time.

How can he say Bruce can not be the answer after the absolute s hite seen by paying supporters in the last three months. For me it’s been worse than Pulis and that takes some beating!

I would rather have Bruce than Howe! What’s Howe ever achieved as he’s about as inspirational as a tub of magnolia paint! Last glance under Howe with all the cash - didn’t see them in the top half of the table! Why?

I came on here as a friend as I have a lot of time for the Baggies with dad being a fan.

However sour grapes? Are you mentally ill? It pity for you lot. Keep the politics out of football shall we or we'll have to expose the corruption from top to bottom rather than pick and choose when and who you can be outraged at.

Stop that narrowminded sh!t, you just look foolish.

Truth be told - you are welcome to him and the complete shambles he will leave your club in 2-3 seasons time.

We are in transition to become regular Champions League team. I can here as a friend. Thanks for the sh!tty attitude enjoy the championship loser!

Just to add about short and long term plans in football
There are no long term plans in football for a club like ours
Some say that we should forget about promotion, take our time and build a team from youth that will compete in the long term
At the end of the day the game is about the present here and now, not jam tomorrow which never comes.
Promotion even with a crap team that gets hammered will bring money into the club. The real currency in football is money not style of play. Norwich have raided the top division once again, and the rewards of a big war chest that will keep them going for a few more years and keep them competitive in our division.
Gone are the days when you could mould a young team and manager and watch them develop together.
Most of our promising kids ( and other clubs ) get picked off anyway well before they mature.

    I feel your pain man!

For 14 yrs we had Mike Ashley leeching the cash & culture out of club.

The game is all about money you are correct. Bringing in a 'never was' (has been eludes to a time when Cabbage was a good manager - he has never been a good manager, stats don't lie) manager is a real scrape of the barrel.

I hear your frustration and I feel for you guys I really do. As I said my dad follows the baggies so I wouldn't wish cabbage on anyone, even, dare I say it, the Mackems again!

One of those footballing dinosaurs who like Pardew, Curbishly, Fat Sam, McClaren etc etc should be no where near a football management role in either of the top 2 divisions!

Sadly the old boys network keeps getting these deadbeats work.

bare in mind Cabbage scooped £6 quid getting fired after sending us into the bottom 3 and keeping us there all season. It's outrageous that these useless old managers are constantly being rewarded for Failure!

Disgusting especially in this day and age when people are struggling to make ends meet!

Bruce has been given an 18 month contract, so not too long a term. Hopefully, it will see us through to when the club has a new owner (wishful thinking, maybe) and hopefully then, the club may be able to retry some of its old reputation. As I have said many, many times before, the manager is largely irrelevant whilst we have the awful chinaman owning our once great club. Chinese ******* owners, what on Earth have we become?
