LOL, I wasn't aware of the show. I thought it was weird that you remembered!

If they can make a 5 day sport (cricket) into a 4 hour game them I'm sure they can turn a 60 minute game (AF) into a 2 hour game..
Actually Cayton, without TV the game only lasts about 90 minutes. Unfortunately at the top levels (NFL and College) every game is televised and as mentioned earlier, events like the Super Bowl can demand $6.5M per 30s for TV adverts. It (along with pretty high ticket prices) all goes to help pay for the players' wages and in turn with the average NFL career only lasting 3.3 years those players look to get handsomely rewarded.

I know for one Brin has no interest whatsoever in US sports and I'm sure there are many more on here but we do have one or two (and at least one TykesMad interloper) who follow the NFL. Anyone watching and who will you be supporting? After being up at 4am to watch our game at Hillsborough I'm not sure I'll survive the 3-4 hour ordeal without at least a couple of naps or nags (more than a couple) from Mrs. CA to get some jobs done around the house/garden.

In case anyone is considering making the trip to LA for the game, average ticket prices are just over $10,000, parking at the stadium will cost you $300 but on the bright side you can get a hot dog for just $6.50
Hi Cam, hope you are well.

Can you remember LoyalMiller? He’s a mate of mine and was the first to start a thread on here about the Superbowl, he’s mad on it. Must be nearly 15 years ago now. He’s not posted on here for ages. A really good lad!!

Hi - yes I'm well thanks and I do remember there were a few on here who followed the NFL

Did you say you have changed jobs, so I guess the email I had for you doesn't work any longer. I think my daughter in Dodworth is still holding on to the programmes if you still want them.

Yes I was one of the followers, and have been so since it started to be televised over here.

Grist jnr as a consequence also followed it and when he did his uni block release year in the USA became a Colts fan and saw games live.

Anyone who doesn't watch the NFL is missing out on some incredible drama.

Not fussed who wins after my 49ers were eliminated.

I used to know someone who followed the New England Patriots because it has England in the name and he thought they were patriotic to the motherland.
    Even had a red sweatshirt

    Oh dear
His face was a picture when the reality dawned

I may watch this as I'm off the following week. I used to watch it regularly years back.

You're not kidding there. The last 2 weekends of the playoffs especially were sensational. I hope Sunday is just as good as long as The Bengals win! Actually I don't particularly want them to win as long as The Rams lose

    I agree with that.

The complexity of the game though can be off-putting to the average Brit brought up on the more simple football ( soccer)

Hot to enjoy it for the razzmatazz
