I was in Washington DC a few years ago when the Redskins were regarded as one of if not the best team.

Managed to get into their local Derby grudge match vs Philadelphia Eagles.
I waited until no one was buying off the touts as the game had started and got in for about $20US. I got called a Limey as well as an added bonus.

No away fans, no singing and watered down beer.
A good spectacle though but it did go on far too long
The event was Probably lost on me.

    Preferred the Smithsonian Institute. Stunning

I too can confess to having visited the Smithsonian, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and other sites in D.C. On the same business trip I also confess I stayed in Manassas, the city where a couple of years earlier Lorena Bobbitt had severed her husband's manhood. A very eclectic place the U.S.

Never knew that Grist, a bit before my time and it was also the band's name apparently due to Stills' interest in Civil War history and Manassas being the site of the battles at Bull Run. Bill Wyman also played bass on some of the album.

Yes, back to the early 70s

Stills band was called the same as you said because of his interest

In those days when the 'big boys' were into Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young I was still into Biffo, Dennis, Gnasher and Plug

I've been to Manassas more than once due to my interest in Civil War history. Been lucky enough to visit many such places throughout the South.

I'll be watching Sunday. I find the sport very addictive. Been a Washington fan since the 80s and seen a few games live. Prefer baseball though.
