Different times and thankfully less money and less ‘professionalism’ (ergo cheating) in the game. Some of my favourite ever players played in that side.

Bill Fotherby was a lovable rogue character.

Still don’t think Wilkinson gets the credit for what he did nationally.

Good line in that from Wilkinson about transfers but after that team broke up his transfer signings weren’t always great. Carlton Palmwr wasn’t the most inspiring of players.

If true, not only is this drivel of the highest order, it's manifestly dishonest, given the track record both during and (at least for now) immediately after Bielsa.

We have played the youth players, because we HAD to, not because there was any planning or strategic "development", hence Dramahs departure and the rumours around Summerville.

As for the statement about the summer TW, what did we expect from a a senior executive team who have played fast and loose with survival in the PL (which is still FAR from guaranteed)?

    https://motleedsnews.com/transfers/v...d-150m-reveal/

And we didn't "spend £150m on transfers" last season (or any other season I'm aware of), we have pi55ed half of it away on nondescript replacements for players we shouldn't have let go or didn't need because we have them IN THE YOUTH SIDES!!!!!!

Shame the Wilko era was spoiled by selling Cantona to scum - we helped them get on the path to rule English Football for a good few seasons.

As much as I obviously loved the first 3 years of Wilko's time selling that french cnut still rankles with me to this day.

Massive massive massive error on our part that.

That's so true if we had kept him Europe was there for Leeds and players would have been lining up to sign for us instead we went reverse.Over the years I can't forget how many of our stars we let go to the scum and got back superstars back

Think his time was up at Leeds as the noises were he had fallen out with Wilko and Wilko didn’t like his attitude. If he hadn’t been sold chances out he would have just flounced.

As it turned out would have been better if Wilko walked
