Thread: Ardley an improvement

  1. #31
I don't see the point of this post.?
Ardley hasn't achieved anything at Solihull as yet.IB is in the process of steering us into a play off position possibly top 3
I could see the validity if this was posted once the season had finished so we could to try and make a comparison, but as it stands Ardley achieved nothing with us and the same with Solihull.
As it stands IB has achieved nothing with us but is work in progress. As I've said before IB is a promising coach and time will tell if he can be a successful one. Making that step up will include learning lessons from the performance and defeat at teams like Torquay.

    Spot on Pedro.

If it's 1-1 in a 2nd leg and you need to win or go out on aggregate, you can't settle for a draw. That's what Ardley basically did that season. Wrong man for the job and continued to be the wrong man for another 2 years.
I did tell him that, but he clearly believes 18th is mid table……

Tbf I was told 8th, that's 1 place outside the playoffs, was midtable recently so if that's the case 18th qualifies as well.

Nahhhhhh.......... 8th IS midtable, only 4 positions above the league's mid-point, which is usually @12th. So extrapolating that out, down the table, mid table finishes in 16th place.

Lol cool. So out of interest what are you calling 18th other than very disappointing?

In a Notts context or in a general National League context? For me, 8th place for Notts would be a disastrous season.

If we keep lowering the bar, in a couple of years we can celebrate 10th place because we finished in the top half.

General league. If one place outside the playoffs is midtable, as is 16th. Then what would 18th be classed as.

Who's lowering the bar? I can't see anyone on here who has.

Personally if we finished 8th I'd class the season as a complete failure and very disappointing. But we won't so.....

Upper relegation. The actual relegation positions themselves are called the ''Ardley Zone''.
