If you believe rasicm shouldn't exist? What as opposed to supporting it? Strange thing to say, I thought all sane people thought racism shouldn't exist. If you meet someone from a different ethnicity and don't like their personality then fair enough, that applies to all races to but not like someone simply due to their race is bonkers. The match could have been arranged to have that at half time if it was at 41 mins but if Muslims want to play football and practice religion then that's not really an issue for most people. If a Muslim wants to do that then score the winning goal then I'm sure racism will go out the window in that instance. Double standards.

    1. Religious proclivities shouldn’t dictate the format of football matches.

    2. Whatever the excuse racists gonna be racists, as we can see from this thread.

Wouldn't you be more comfortable if you were a white horse? Just saying.

What does colour have to do with it? This is about an imported religion intruding into the game. Why did they just not start an hour later so they could fill up first or start an hour earlier so it was all over when the sun went down? Piss poor organisation if you ask me which plays in to the hands of those less tolerant than myself.

It seems to me the fear of being labelled 'racist, brought about the decision to stop the game. It is quite obvious that religions do not mix, so you cannot please all the people all the time. Living in a democracy, just, I think that you go by the majority. In this case I think if a poll were taken amongst football fans, they would say get on with the game.
As the game was stopped in the forty first minute, I see no reason why the player/s involved couldn't have waited till half time to get their refreshment.
Being an atheist I disagree with stopping the game on religious grounds full stop.
Slowly but surely we are bending over further backwards to keep a radical minority of a certain religion happy.
I am sure these views will not be liked by some folk, but while we have free speech and democracy in this country I might as well use it.

I have a slightly different take on this, as someone who regularly implements an 18/6 fasting regime (only eating in a six hour window) I wonder what the sports nutritionists are at these clubs are doing? I may not be a professional footballer but I regularly run and lift and it’s not that difficult to remain energised through the day by making the right food choices.

But the issue of stopping the game for relegion wasn't agreed on, people said that should have been done at half time. The issue was the comment if some people think racist views shouldn't exist then good for you. They shouldn't exist end of story.
