I suspect, as Lumpard inherited a mega million squad at Chelski and Everton, had Bielsa had similar he'd have done even better than he did at LUFC. As for being in the spotlight and subject to criticism, you see anyone twisting his arm, at Derby or anywhere else? Not sure what your point here is?

Lumpard was a great player and like many great players before him, he should have recognised his limitations and either bought a nice pub somewhere or at least restricted his coaching/managerial exploits to some backwater non-league side, as befits his capabilities in that area.

I think "outsmarting" is pushing it a bit. Remember, we had the likes of Coco the clown making things easy for him/them.

And criticism if the guy has been universally wrt his coaching/managerial abilities, not as a player.

Wrong. At the very least he should be credited with winning the Championship with LUFC.

Obviously your fans have been loving the decline in this great club. We will be back though, not sure when or in what format though. The club has been run like s**t for a number of years, from tea lady through to the owners. Much of the reason for the relegation though is obviously down to Morris - someone who has been greatly praised by everyone, except myself who has never liked his "involvement" in all matters. He has turned out to be a crook who has deliberitly broke the rules (he has known this for the last few years). He has in my view solely acted irresponsibly by doing this. There are thousands of supporters who would obviously have liked to be in the Premiership and have trusted him to do this fairly. The blame lies solely at his door. In my opinion he ought to be more held to account for his actions instead of the fairly petty repercussions he has. Indeed he appears to still be coming out fairly well in my view. I also personally do not favour the new owner to be Kirchner, were Morris to fully give up the stadium ownership then Mike Ashley would be the owner I think and, despite his obvious previous results at Newcastle, would be my choice. We will see.

Like anything, the amount of your fans and other fans that laughed at us when we tumbled down the leagues, it comes back around.

Ridsdale destroyed us much like Morris by being over ambitious. You'll be back but we are going to laugh at the club that laughed at us when you beat us in the semis very luckily.

I feel for the fans, the EFL allow this stuff to happen and it is a gamble that has paid off for a few clubs and I honestly think if you hadn't had donkey Lampard in charge you'd have gone up auto.

Credit to your boys and Rooney, they've battled harder than expected and I do hope you come back up, Derby are a PL/ High Champ team at worst

Respect is earned I respect him as a great person and the way he conducted himself as far as his management that's another story.
