    Blood Sweat and McAteer

    Jason's story

Mentions being sacked by Ronnie Moore and John Breckin. Very scathing about Brecks which is odd because in Breck's book JB makes them out to be good friends

A warts and all book that reports the setbacks he had and doesn't just give an I won that and I won this type account that you normally get from footballers.

Second that. A good reminder you don’t always know what’s going on in someone’s life and very well written.

Ronald Reng also wrote Keeper of Dreams which is great too, about German leeper Lars Leese. Ok there’s a lot of Barnsley in it as he was sub keeper in their Premiership season but it is interesting and entertaining. He tells a story of Leese being at a pub with the team pre-season and being amazed not so much by the players’ ability to drink so much, but how they never needed to take a leak. He then realises that many of them are just relieving themselves in bottles under the table...

Paul Merson's is worth a read. No wonder the England team were so crap in his day. They were either pissed, high or looking in the mirror.

Only read the one, over 20 years ago, Brian clough. Was very good.
Remember this somehow, Something along the lines of ..
When we went to the shop and got an ice cream, my mother said be careful and don’t drop it, you won’t get another one.
    I never dropped mine 😂
