Oddly enough for all of the years I care to remember fishing has been the most popular in the U.K.
Perhaps it's because it's carried out by all ages from yougsters to hobblies and by both se-xes.

I am delighted to hear that more and more girls are playing football. The more sport the better and great that the Euros are being played in England.
Do you know what the most practiced sport in Britain is (and, therefore, arguably, the most popular)?
Fishing.
I can’t remember seeing a report about a fishing competition on the BBC sport pages but the women’s Euros is headline every day.
As you can guess, my gripe is with the media here and not with women’s football.

not bothered with fishing though mortimer and whitehouse is a good fishing program to watch
back to the football you never hear the commentators say " we apologise for any bad language " on the women's football
always around Pat just not a lot to say![]()
I suppose the diversity of fans on here will bring various opinions but thankfully we all have a common denominator and of course we're a lot more happier now the fat man's gone
I am all for diversity but I don't like television brainwashing me into anything whether it is women's football, woman commentators on Sky sports.
On woman's football the best team in the world for years has been the U.S. National team, they played a team consisting of Young men in the U.S. and lost 5-2.That is the standard that they are at but BBC and Sky are pushing it on us.
