Watched on youtube and accepting it was a friendly the performance was dire all round. We are going to miss Smith bigtime. Hopefully some of those playing tonight are much better than they showed. Warne's opinion will be interesting.

Who's leaving then to bring a defensive coach in? We can't compete with league 1 sides on wages so an extra coach means players we're looking at we'll have to go further down the ladder.

So, we're still 5 players short according to PW. Good job we got a head start on the play-off teams then....

How are we going to get these 5 players, who we sign up, to the post Croatia fitness? Get ready for more muscle injuries then?

I suppose it depends what PW wanted to get out of a game like this.

If his instructions were;

Get a few more minutes into a wide range of players

Work reasonably hard but, since it’s the second game in two days, don’t knock yourselves out

Above all else don’t get injured; we may be short of players when the season proper starts.

Let’s practice defending. Let them come on to you so we have to get out of difficult defensive situations

then you could probably say it went to plan.
