They are off to Loughborough for 3 days this week, I suspect that they will be playing them there. Also they are trying to take the trialist Lachlan Brook with them, they do fancy him.

Well my opinion of the WBA game was the same as most of the supporters close to me. Yes it was a friendly but we were so poor and second best for most of the game. Tactics? What tactics, simply kick it up the pitch. Lost every 50/50 ball and apart from some good tackling from our defence at times there was virtually none. One of the best comments was from a supporter in front of me. `same, same and just as bad as last season`. The one player who impressed me was 4 the young lad from London. When he was in midfield he was neat and tidy and looked a good prospect. Our own young players were no surprise to me, totally out of their depth in a mans game. Hard to assess our forwards as they received no service at all.
After the game I read our managers assessment of our performance. He had obviously been watching a different game than me. To me his comments can be described in two words `total bullshot`, If he actually believed that it leaves me concerned for the coming season.
For me we will have to recruit another 5 players before the season starts. Goalkeeper, and four squad players. Due to the poor standard of a lot of our coaches our young players who were in the under23 side last season have not been prepared for the mens game and totally out of their depth. Last season I watched a good number of under23 games and each one was total slaughter. As I said I am not blaming the kids. The blame rests solely with the poor standard of our coaches. I believe it is essential to get replacements asap.

What is the point in spending one million pounds per season on ten or more years of poor so called coaching when you can see thousands of players in their late ****s and early twenties just like most clubs at our level...
Bottom 6 is still my prediction with lots of injuries to players not used to a man's game...

Surely based on your theory MikeSB poor coaches shouldn't make any difference as they are not needed according to you, and good coaches are a waste of time. So if bad coaches make them worse surely good coaches should have the opposite effect.
I've not worded it very well but you should get my drift. You can't have your argument both ways.
