Here goes with the players we have been gazumped on from league 1, Icky, and Smith both to last minute offers from Wenesday. Collins last minute offer from Derby, Barkhuizen Derby, and Will Grigg MK Dons

I get a bad press on here but this kind of post is just silly. We never made an offer to Grigg. Fact. We never made bids for Collins or Barkhuizen. Fact. Smith and Icky were out of contract and made no secret that they were listening to offers. Their agents were never going to let them sign a new contract with us. Warne was deluded. It hardly can be described as gazumping.
All this is nonsense. We dither. We hesitate. We don't make serious bids. The board have decided that we cannot sustain Championship football and are recruiting for L1. That some of you don't get it makes no difference to reality.

Problem is agents looking for best deal for players they represent. TS got stung with Blackstock so he won't again. Tizer today deciding on trialist Lonwijk end of this week 19 year-old be a loan deal hoping he's shown enough for it to go ahead to offset the rise in the average age of the squad resulting from signings this transfer window.

Warney did say in an interview that were not a selling club or don’t need to see (something to that anyway) which I find strange, if we are to proceed higher then maybe selling needs to be done.

Having said that we’re struggling atm in fetching new blood in so I can see that Warney will probably want to hold on to players especially Woody 😂

Just to balance things out we HAVE signed young players this window in Humphreys and Bramall but we also need players of champion experience like Washington and Eaves I may be wrong but I’m sure I heard Warne say most of the remaining signings must be quality and must be experienced at this level the guy hopefully coming in today is both of those things presumably that’s why things are taking longer when it’s little old Rotherham
