Eric, the club cant tell us who the targets are that just signals they are available to other clubs. We have been gazumped enough already to learn to keep our gobs shut. If we want to get the players we are after being secretive is the only way to do it.

The bit about 'Been gazumped enough already to learn to keep our gobs shut' roly I'm assuming is about years gone by? as I cant think of anyone who the club have mentioned by name this transfer window so far, until we have actually signed them.
It's a recurring argument on here, with some in the camp of we arent doing enough, and others, myself included, understanding that at championship level for a team like us, there will be players we want that other clubs want.
In past seasons when we have come up into the championship, we have kept the vast majority of our players and not needed to add too many, but this time we have lost out on Smudger/ icky (had we got them to stay things would have looked better) and let freddy go and now the management team are looking for better quality players to try and stay in the championship.
The problem for us wanting better quality players means that other teams, bigger teams, will also be looking at them, but it's a worrying time for us with the seeming lack of enough players coming in this close to the start of the season. UTM

Warney is getting increasingly frustrated through the lack of incoming players.I noticed that Hodge Clemco have extended their sponsorship with us,which is good, but all this money we get is not being invested to improve the squad.I can't understand why the likes of Luton ,Blackpool and Preston,all with similar crowd levels as us, are investing in their teams but we don't.
