We aren't signing anyone remotely near world class! Put me on a downer before seasons started. Why hasn't Greaves took up offer made to him a trial after he's been here last season though spent it out on loan cause he knows with Warney he's got next to no chance of getting a chance here. Hull will be thinking same. Our young players will know there's no chance here of getting a chance. It's unhealthy here jobs for the boys Wood still here. Thought we were getting a left centre back who can play left wing back! This signing be lucky if he can make it as far as the half way line! It's professional football we are paying to watch at the 2nd best level I'd say anywhere but we are still signing players ready for retirement. I wanted Hull to be 5th choice centre back here in front of Wood but if he can't he may as get a job taking post round! Not given me a lift for new season at all that signing It's got me feeling we on a lift that only goes one way down!

world class? We're Rotherham not Roma or Barcelona for that matter. A blend of younger and experienced players is often a good thing. We've gone up a level so our youth need more time to get up to that level I'd imagine, but then I'm not a football manager

I agree,a solid deal,no more,no less.1 year contract and he did play quite a lot for Boro last season so by no means a bad signing. With all these defensive additions and more promised it does make Wood's extra year seem a bit of a charity gesture for 'services rendered', something Warne has publicly stated he doesn't do.

Hopefully Woody will be that defensive coach that someone keeps banging on about.

Could be Peltier, who has more experience at higher level.

I think he can help the players on and off the pitch and I have seen it in two days' training. It was a no-brainer for me when he knew he became available. I spoke to him and got him in."

Brin, I've seen many £1 million+ players, many £10 million+ players and probably quite a few £50 million+ players and never thought (taking into account the financial burden associated with them) "I wish he was wearing an RUFC shirt". Now if everyone came for free it might be a different matter

But Shaun Mac wasn't nowhere near player Warney knew as a player when he was younger. Players to me are signed as players not good guys to have in the dressing room mostly!
