We have them here ? A 2,500 strong, heavily armed infantry battalion ? Where are they stationed, where do they train, where do they source their weapons, are they about to stage an insurrection ? Are they attacking Jews, or Russian emigres, are they burning synagogues ?

Are my Lefty friends like BT in danger, are they camped out on Winter Hill right now, just waiting for the opportunity to assasinate the old Lefty fraud as he comes home from his stint at the food bank or showing solidarity with his Northern Rail comrades outside Bolton Interchange.

I think we should be told, lives could be at stake.

That said, using a small extremist group as justification for invading a country and bombing schools and hospitals is bang out of order and you know it mate.

Realistically, Putin had more justification for invading Hungary than Ukraine - but hang on - Hungary isn't on Russia's border and wasn't part of the Russkii Mir that the KGB want back is it?

We all know the real reason Putin attacked Ukraine and it's got f*** all to do with Nazis.

Here's the Hungarian PM sucking up to the Yanks: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...es/ar-AA10jXX6
Wander you are way off the mark-I could say deluded.
The extreme right in Hungary( Jobbik Párt )joined forces in a broad coalition to try to oust Fidesz(Fiatal Demokratik Szövetség-Young Democrats) in the recent elections.
I have lived here for 30 years so I would like to know what do you base your opinion that Orban is a racist, facsist ....The fact they do not want illegal immigrants crossing their border does not make them either racist or facsist.Hungary has a zero tolerance system for racism and anti-semitism.There is a thriving Jewish population whose leader stated that Orban has done more to help the jewish minority here than any other politician.
Maybe it annoys you that the government passed a law forbidding the promotion of LGBTQ in schools up to the age of 18.
I really am bemused by the way you have fallen for the MSM loudhalers who describe him as a far right, authoritarian leader.
It is farcical to anybody who lives here.

Regarding the Nazis in Ukraine, Amnesty International has admitted in their report that the Ukrainians are using schools, hospitals and residential areas as human shields. What more proof do you need? or are they Putin stooges also?
As for the scope of the Neo-Nazi movement in Ukraine you have fallen for the myth that this is just some small extremist group. The Yanks knew about them and financed and armed them all along and its all coming out.The CIA have been financing them since the second world war.Their hero is Stepan Bandera a Nazi in the Second World War who killed hundreds of thousands of Jews, ethnic Poles and Russians. The street where IKEA is in Kiev is named after him.

It's stuck somewhere in my old memory bank that Stepan Bandera was assassinated by the KGB, not sure if that's true though?

I have read the MSN article and I have listened to his speech in its entirety which was greeted with a standing ovation at CPAC.It was a great speech but the msn have an agenda and seek to twist his words to help their narrative. He even predicted in the speech the criticismvit would receive. He was bang on again. It seems a lot of American Conservatives share his views. As for racist and facsist you are again being lied to by the MSM.
I suggest if you live in the UK you are in a far more repressive society than Hungary. You dont get arrested here for tweeting and there is no cancel culture for a start.
Dont take my word for it-listen to people who have spent time here:-

Can't believe you're citing Fascist News as an independent source. They are the mouthpiece of the far right that Orban is appealing to

Anyhoo it seems you should be more concerned about the economic impact of Putin's war on Hungary than on the West, as whilst we are heading for huge inflation and CPI rise here, it's forecast to be a 4% higher rise in Hungary - >17%. A lot of Hungarian people are going to struggle and the poor - like here - will bear the brunt.

I am concerned about it Wander. The stupid sanctions which Orban opposed saying they would be self harming are causing the price increases not the war.He was right yet again.
Fortunately for us Hungary is not considered an "unfriendly nation" as we have not supplied weapons or allowed weapons to transit Hungary. This means our gas and that of Serbia will not be cut off which arrives via the Turkish Stream and is arriving as agreed in the long term contract. We store the gas for Russia`s ally Serbia because they do not have the storage capacity required.
Our foreign minister recently went to Moscow to secure a further 700m m3 to make up for gas that we are not receiving from our alternative suppliers via Austria because of the problems with NS1
My gas bill is just over £30/month because of this and the government subsidy for people with a large family(3 children or more).Power generation in Hungary is also largely gas powered therefore our electric bill is also cheap around £80 but I am having solar panels fitted so that wil be zero in a couple of months.
We have food prices capped at October 2021 level for basic items(milk, chicken breast, pork loin, sugar, bread, cooking oil etc) but other foodstuffs have increased about 20-30% in the last 12 months.
Petrol is also capped at £1/litre for Hungarian registered private cars.
Therefore I am slightly worried but if as promised Putin does sanction the unfriendly countries from September I think you should be much more worried because the people in the those "unfriendly" nations will see a drop in their standard of living not seen since the Second World War.
As you can see the government here are doing the best they can to shield the population but there is only so much they can do.Do you get any subsidies from your government?
