Even if we spent millions like Middlesbrough, Birmingham, Reading or practically any other club in the Championship we'd still be no higher in the Championship.

You should look at it as an achievement surely.
I think we’re all happy to have Championship football

It’s scrapping and grubbing around at the bottom of it that we don’t like

To what realistic level do we need to increase our budget to not be scrapping and grubbing?

What could we pay and continue to exist with the number of fans we have and could expect with a full stadium?

At least double it, which I admit would be hard to do considering it would need a revenue stream separate from attendances

Could be a money pit with no real improvement, that’s the risk involved

Not sure any of us know the answers but I'm sure Tony has quite a clear idea. I've loved the last decade and for what I think he's prepared to invest whilst keeping us safe, we have over achieved by some distance and enjoyed(and endured) a far from boring ride with Warne at the helm. Long may that continue as we are only resignation/sacking away from what could be another decade of relative obscurity.

I think a recurring question is to what extent are we willing to trust Tony with his financial management. In one who thinks he has the best interests of the club at heart, although I'm sure ego kicks in also! Clearly some on here don't trust him and think we should invest more, some think we could do better than Warne etc. A long life of following the millers tells me to be careful what I wish for...

    Well I trust him

As for fans, it’s easy to chance somebody else’s money

To gauge where we are though, we have a cautious chairman with like minded board members and a cautious management team.

All risk averse, so without major changes nothing much will change

But we will still have a team to support every week and not some form of football basket case.

It's a pity we are so 'unfashionable' because I think this season and the way we are managed as a club would make an interesting Netflix series "Once A Miller...."

Rumoured Rotherham loan target Kyle Joseph talking to Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford.

The use of the word embarrassing so frequently when discussing the club does irk me somewhat. It probably shouldn't but the club aren't embarrassing, far from it. We should all be proud of what we achieve given our budget / attraction, not feel embarrassed.
