    Negativity goes too far

Some of our fans are an utter disgrace. A tiny minority I'm sure, but wow. Private messaging players to insult them is just disgusting IMHO.

I guess players of all clubs get this abuse, but it really makes you wonder what planet some people are on. They are not Notts fans, just mentally retarded, and certainly makes NCM look like the most loyal, happy clapper, PVO forum ever. COYP
Good to see JOB giving it some back.

No way of knowing whether they are Notts fans or windup merchants from other clubs idiots anyway.

This sadly doesn't surprise me in the slightest, however disappointing it is to read.

Excellent comments and response from Connell especially that negativity to a point can be a positive but also reminding supporters that there is no need to get personal#jackals

P.S. I do hope the Spelling and Grammar Police don't pick him up on a couple of obvious errors in his impassioned post.

Why does a footballer need to be on Twitter?

    Why not?

That argument starts to go down the road of 'It's his own fault'. Absolutely not.

Can't imagine why fans of other clubs would really want to abuse JOB though.

If it is our 'supporters' then you ought to be ashamed. No need or place for it.

^^^^ This. And really, engaging on (anti) Social Media to folk you don't know! If it was deemed worthy of a response I guess it hit a sore point, but really - keep off.

Agree there is no way of knowing but it's an all too easy defensive to claim it can't be Notts fans. Who would be shocked if it were having heard some of the stuff shouted from the away terrace or The Kop in the heat of the moment or following a poor result? Only difference now is you can do it over Twitter under a pseudonym.

Could you not just have called them ****s, idiots, tw@s? Why state they are ‘mentally retarded’? I’m not overly PC but suggesting someone without mental capacity to do everyday chores somehow has capability to get on and post on Twitter.
