we are in a worse mess than 1938, keep sending out stuff to other places and same with other NATO countries, we are not a major military force and we need to stop pretending we are, our government is picking fights with the big boys in the playground and at the same time demanding that our people suffer, I bet the establishment aren't worried about the cost of fuel, we spend £360m on Buckingham palace for the kiddy loving Windsors, time to stop, by the way it is all of parliament not just one party, our Government are our enemies, when we wake up to that we can make a difference.

Well the days of sending a gunboat up the zambesi are long gone.

I was with the MOD in the 1970s and later during the Falkland Islands campaign. The effects of cutbacks even then were showing and costing lives.

I still don't get why we try to be the world's " peacekeeper" getting involved in conflicts that have nothing to do with us. The old colonial power legacy

Agreed. Why do we try to police the world when we can't look after ourselves?
