Yep, VAR is to be used to right "clear and obvious" Errors... so 4 minutes and 24 seconds, 35 replays means it was obviously a clear and obvious error in the first plase NOT to give a penalty... my arse!!
Insult to injury - don't even both to check the Penalty we claimed for the clear and obvious fuc king foul on Sommerville ffs
another week another cheating **** in charge...
Oh, and I see that Pickford got booked for timewasting today...
Diabolical decisions by the referee today, absolute disgrace, but even after saying that we defended like schoolboys, never mind about signing a forward, we can score goals, we should have looked for 2 centre halves and a left back, our defence is abysmal.
You and others should stop bellyaching about VAR. LUFC are as likely as any ther PL club to suffer from the idiocy that is FAR (supposedly introduced to address "clear and evident errors" on the part of match day officials). Spam were robbed by Mendy play act and f00kwit ref, VAR is a joke and the sooner we play so as to render it redundÃ*nt the better.
What a small-minded sh1te you are. If Meslier was to perform (as he has) like Pickford did today, every LUCF supporter would be chanting his name. Don't wish the Toffees any goodwill but prepared to recognise skill and commitment when shown. (And should LUFC fail to provide Meslier with the defence he deserves don't be surprised if he departs in January)
So, leaving aside the debacle that is VAR, what did I learn (or reinforce what I already knew) from today:
1. Ayling provided more offensive threat down the right in 20 mins than Kristensen has done in 5 whole games.
2. Llorente is a liability who clearly thinks he is much better than he is. I would rather see Cooper play - not something I ever expected to say.
3. We look much less threatening without Harrison.
4. We (still) need a 'proper' left back.
5. Bamford is not the player he was and is unlikely to be so again. He's even making goal line clearances for the opposition now! I have plant pots in my garden that could have scored that.
6. Gelhardt is not the 'messiah' people have been claiming him to be. He is not good enough to be a Premiership centre forward. He is too slow and lacks composure (possibly could be a supporting number 10?).
7. Meslier is probably one of our best assets.
8. Sinesterra is a key player and seems to have at least partially filled the post-Raphinha void.
