Irrespective of the value of a monarchy, undoubtedly Her Majesty has fulfilled the role excellently.
God Save the Queen and long may she rule over us.

Only 27 years ago Truss called for the monarchy to be abolished, she wasn’t messing about.
Joking aside, it’s quite amazing she’s been in the game for so long.

No matter what people think regarding the Monarchy, she has been a shining light for all of us, of that there is no doubt!

Not a Royalist but we are witnessing the passing of an Icon in world history. The most famous woman in the world.
For most of us the only monarch in our lifetimes.
My great gran could remember the passing of Victoria when she was 10.

Have been told by someone high up at Jaguar, that they been told to bring the Jaguar hearses down to London this morning and to be ready to lower the flags at Jaguar at a minutes notice. I've seen the E mail.

Not a great fan of many aspects of the monarchy but the Queen has dedicated her life to her duty and to the interests of the country. As 55 says, she is an icon who has been on the throne, for most of us, for all of our lives and is an integral part of the culture and history of our country as well as for many more across the Commonwealth. She will be sadly missed when she passes. In the meantime best wishes to her and hope this is not as serious as it appears, although given her age and the impact of the recent passing of her husband the signs do not look good.
