Latest news. All weekend matches now postponed as a mark of respect.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful, it’s a genuine question that you brits can maybe answer; why does the whole country have to stop its activities as a result of the Queen’s passing? Isn’t the upcoming PL round in fact a good opportunity to honour her?

I suppose Hughie it's just simply a matter of traditional respect, albeit an old fashioned thing which is passed down through generations.

I suppose some would do it this way but perhaps others would see life carrying on as normal with a reference of respect prior to the commencement of an event as a way of doing the respect thing in a more modern way..

I was just thinking about it and I'm actually pretty sure it would be just around the same. They would definitely take some days out to celebrate her life and put other things on hold.

Maybe I'm just upset that I won't be watching football this weekend so I'm refusing to understand the whole thing

Just been reported that Celtic fans have been congregating outside of Celtic Park setting off fireworks and cheering the passing of The Queen.

It also is happening in Nationalist areas around Northern Ireland.

Would expect nothing less from these lads.

    Breathtaking ignorance and bigotry.

That might not look well on their application to join the Premier League.
