I was speaking to a copper last week. The truth behind last weekend’s postponements is far more mundane. All leave for police officers in Scotland cancelled on Thursday, and every available officer on duty from early Sunday morning deployed to protect the cortège and all associated logistics from terrorist attack. Horse racing, and cricket in England don’t need the same police resources, so were unaffected.

I’ll be glad when it’s over, tedious in the extreme!

Why didn’t the powers that be just explain that to the fans instead of making what appeared to be an arbitrary decision and claiming it was about respect.
Might have saved a million posts complaining about it.
Unless they did and I’ve made an a*** of a post.

Celtic have never distanced themselves from any kind of sectarian behaviour, it's in their blood.

Obviously this applies to the other lot too. All of this is just a massive opportunity for both to go through their full songbooks and bring out all their finery.

    Meanwhile huns go full uber

    Rangers Football Club
    @RangersFC

Saturday's matchday programme pays tribute to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Supporters are encouraged to arrive early to the stadium as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be honoured with a minute’s silence and a rendition of the National Anthem.

Let's hope for a freak 3-0 win for United.

A police escort out of Glasgow job.

Will they sing God save the queen? Surely even they will realise that it's a bit late

Still find it sad and somewhat astonishing, when you strip it down, that for huge number of these fans, supporting a football team determines your political/religious beliefs, that these numpties are brainwashed and can't think for themselves. I know we call Rangers fans zombies for obvious reasons, but both halves are full of zombies.

Who knows? A chance to kiss ass, appear appropriately respectful, not really wanting to shout about how stretched Police Scotland are these days, either way fans complaining counts for zip!

One thousand Police Scotland officers are in London right now and the games go ahead this week.In other words its nonsense that last weeks games were called off because there was a lack of resources. Its was purely down to our governing bodies pandering to their English superiors and that's a FACT.

Well it definitely said 1000 on the radio news i heard but this press clipping says 700,my point still stands though.

    What's all this costing?
She must have had some Funeral Plan.
'For £250k a week you wil be laid to rest in Westminster Abbey with some over-dressed clown banging his staff twice on the deck & 5-mile long queues to nod to the catapult.'
