Paul Hartley's just became available. 👀

Sacked after 3 months (without a win) as Hartlepool manager.

I thought Watt played quite well too yesterday, therein lies the problem, even when he plays well he offers absolute zero goal threat, and has no pace, which is even more relevant when you are playing somewhere like Ibrox and Parkhead when you the opposition are going to being pushing up on you leaving space behind to exploit. Anaku got a header and shot away at the end in the short time he was on park, as revolutionary as that sounds, is that not what a striker is there for, to get attempts in at goal?

At risk of over simplifying it, you need to score goals to win football matches, and a striker is the most obvious position on the park to get chances, if we are going to play a whole season with a striker who doesn't even get in the box to score, then you are seriously handicapped over the season.

Yeah. I defended Watt towards the end of last season but patience has run out. Played too far wide was my reasoning. Time for a few splinters, let's see what a fast hungry young replacement can do.

But I'm not convinced Fox will do it.

Im not convinced that Fox has full control of the starting line up where the first 2 names on the sheet pick themselves!

If it’s Liam fox surely it’s only to end of season ?!?

No way should we be giving longer.

My main concern is the lack of any other decent candidates that are interested

Don't even think he should be given that long tbh. World Cup break to prove himself, then the summer if he's done just that. This is the most important appointment the club has made in a long time. Get it wrong and we're relegated.

Every head coach appointment is the most important one when it happens. LF has definitely produced an upturn in our performances and results, be interesting to see how it goes.

Never mind the WC break, why not give it to him on an until-we-lose-our-next-game basis? The minute you lose you're out.
So you can't be too harsh on a Fox appointment.

If the conditions are over-demanding he could say stuff your job & then we're left in an open-market with not even the usual culprits applying. Most of the typical candidates wouldn't touch the job with a bargepole just now.

I get what you say about it being the most important managerial appointment in a long time but weren't they all equally ***** and how many times did it all go wrong?
