When we were 2-0 up their changes looked to have changed the momentum in their favour.
But we kept our composure, a goal saving challenge from McMann and we swung it back. Could have been 5 or 6 😎

Keep it down to 3 please!
When I saw your post before kick off my reaction was why not because nothing else has worked for us. Definitely made us more attacking and it paid off.

Maybe, just maybe, the ghost of Alkmaar has been laid to rest tonight.

If we beat Hibs on Tuesday then I'll also consider the ghost of 9-0 laid to rest. That was ****ing tremendous tonight though so am going to enjoy it for a day or two before thinking about Hibs.

So, so happy to have my puss shut tonight! I was at the lowest ebb i have ever been supporting United when i saw that team sheet, but wow!

Think i have mentioned that Sibbald is a favourite of mine, and i just hope we can keep him on the pitch with performances like that. It was great in a way to see Edwards and McMann put their bodies on the line so often, and thought Smith and Freeman worked well together. Behich and Middleton had their best games for us so far but need to keep improving.

I am struggling for a MotM as i thought Sibbald and Edwards were up there, but thing McGrath was just that wee bit better.

However, and i am not saying he had a bad game, far from it, but Levitt seems to be playing so far within himself and i wonder if a free of world cup distraction Levitt would have had a goal and been more of a force tonight.

Eriksson must have had a wry smile on his face tonight as well knowing what his opposite number was going through with no4. I do though have to ask, what was he thinking with some of controlling of the box. He did though get a touch during some of the madness that changed the inevitable, and its about time we had a keeper who finds his options by throwing the ball out quickly.

A very good win, but its only ONE win, and we need to follow this up with the same again on Tuesday.

Seconded. Dodgy haircut or not… he was immense. His overall dig and tenacity for the team was great. Lest not forget his ball roll to sheep for the cross for the goal.

Whole team did well. More of the same please.

Amazing difference in tonight's performance. I'm sure everyone noticed the difference with less fannying around with the ball at the back - and a more positive approach with more movement and options ahead.

Hopefully this will help confidence-wise, and the team can start to recover from the post AZ/Celtic malaise that has put us in a relegation fight situation.

Thank to all the SSBs for the admission money, Hope you have a safe trip home and enjoyed the Saturday night football experiment.
