Anyone who’s followed Truss’s career with any degree of interest knew that like Johnson, she is utterly unfit to be PM. She showed it in the leadership campaign, anyone who voted for her instead of Sunak because of some misplaced loyalty to Johnson shouldn’t be let out on their own.

    Sacking Krazy achieves nothing.

It probably does in her head, so that's why I guess - is all about self preservation. I don't think many politicians have much insight into their own failings, and she appears to be particularly lacking in that (!)

They only time they 'listen' is when they think they are losing grip on control and power.

All true, but I was talking more about her and her government’s credibility rather than what’s going on in her head.

Even the despicable human beings that largely make up the parliamentary Tory party have got to now see that you can’t get rid of another prime minister without having a general election.

Yeah what a coward and piece of work Truss is.

She's shown an unparalleled ability to throw people under the bus.

She co-authored and signed off on Brittania Unhinged which said the British workers were among the biggest idlers in the world. In the tory leadership campaign she tried to wriggle out of owning that by saying it was Dominic Raab's bit. Truss, Kwarteng, Raab ALL co-authored and signed off on that but she tries to damage his career to save hers.

Now, she was jointly responsible for a mini-budget that sunk the pound, sent mortgage rates into orbit and cost the country 65 BILLION - but it's Kwarteng to get the sack to try to save herself.

The good news is that it fools no-one, she's on borrowed time already.

She probably even blamed her husband when SHE cheated on HIM

This has to finish her, it's now just a case of when. The Tories will be aware that she has zero chance of regaining any respect with the voting public, and will be looking to get rid quickly.

The odds for her to go this year are now down to 5/4!

If they can get rid of her another way, am pretty sure they will try. They know they'd lose an election, so there'll be an awful lot of scheming going on by senior MPs with the sole aim of self - and party - preservation.

    On that subject:

A group of senior Conservatives have decided to call publicly on Liz Truss to resign following her sacking of Kwasi Kwarteng as chancellor.

The party grandees held their discussions and made their decision to act after reports emerged the prime minister was planning to sack her chancellor, which has since been confirmed.

The senior Tories are planning to speak out next week.

One figure involved in the discussions told BBC Newsnight: “These are serious people. The PM will find it hard to survive.”

Pity you missed out on the 11/2 but sure you'll take seeing the back of her as adequate compensation!
