They won't call an election they never do. Both parties are guilty of it, When Thatcher was kicked out Major took over and when Cameron resigned May was appointed. In 1976 Wilson retired and Sunny Jim took over and Gordon Brown took over from Blair, non of those were elected by the people at first.

The Johnson bandwagon is gaining pace.

They seem to be taking the 'he's the only one with a mandate'.

This morning I have seen / heard interviews with 3 MPs, all of whom support Boris. In addition, JRM and Dorries make the news because they are calling for him back. Not a lot about other candidates.

I am afraid that I think the media want him back because it will make for more juicy stories.

Will certainly make for a juicy story when the Conservative party loses the next general election by a record margin to an opposition which itself is an absolute crock of the proverbial. It's going to be decades before UK politics and the UK as a nation sorts itself out into a modicum of respectability again. Still the exchange rate is rather good for my trip next year.

You're prob right. Truss resigned because she crashed the economy. Bojo resigned over a slice of Birthday cake and a few rolls of wallpaper, seems fair. This time they'll get him for eating a Mars Bar in a public place no doubt. If I were advising him, I'll tell him not to bother, tain't worth the hassle. Let Richie Rich or Penny Dreadful have a go. Give the Tories their due, they must be the most democratic party, EVER, cos everyone has a turn at being leader.

For her shambolic 44 day stint Liz Truss will be entitled to a £19,000 pay off, and an annual allowance of £115,000 for LIFE! If she lives as long as the queen, she could claim over five and a half million pounds from the taxpayer.

Nice work if you can get it.

Boris stayed after the cake and wallpaper.

Lying about the Pincher affair, lying to the Queen, lying about partygate are just a few things. Sacked from previous jobs for lying. Note the connection? Why ever should be be trusted with the country again?

Didn't I say he shouldn't run in any leadership election, MM?

You did. But not because he simply can't seem to see what the truth is, but because it's not worth the hassle!

They say they want someone to unite the party. I think he would divide it. And another reason I don't want him to get it is that I don't think I could take any more of Nadine Dorries or JRM fawning over him.
