If you're an alien from Mars (like me) or been living under a rock for a while..... then stumble on a site for player values... you'll see Leeds first player mentioned (Transfermarkt) comes in at No33 Barndoor €14M, that value must be based on his past goals. Joffers has moved up to €8M at No38.

So 19 teams have 32 CF valued higher than anyone at our club... think that sums it up

I do find it hard to believe that we drew against a LG 2 team that's winless in it's last 5 matches. All of this supposed offensive talent including Joffy and Gary and we cant score. Very depressing. It's been a long, long time since we really had a pure striker and if you can't score against Crewe I'm guessing we don't have a pure striker in our youth ranks.

MT, I do agree with you on the small striker comment. It's almost like a short keeper. They have a much tougher road to success.

    Not seen the game Oz.
Saw the match report -hinted our elusive left-back scenario may have an answer ?

Gotta be Hjelde for me - thus allowing Pascal to play at left CB in place of (Tommy) Cooper.
Quite a verbal mouthpiece is Hjelde so'll be able to communicate with Harradona or any alternative & he appears to be quite nimble & balanced from what I've seen of him.

Cooper obviously is still a great 'leader' but time has caught up for him to be our regular CB starter as he now looks awkward when turned in the one to ones, is poor back tracking & no longer gets first to the ball which in fairness was his main/only technical attribute.

Hjelde for Norway U21 has played as a centre-back & left-back with the ability to score goals. The guy likes to put the ball on the floor & play, so a modern ball-playing defender 'specifically' brought to Leeds for this technical ability 'standout' attribute. Apparently he knows how to break the lines using great control within his natural ability plus the technical ability to be able to pass the ball onto a sixpence.

Was on the bench for first 5 games until having his appendix out but now chomping on the bit again. It was Hjelde who really impressed Skubala against Crewe the other night I've also read - so hopefully JM will give him a run out sooner rather than later.

    Ps.
Hope you've settled into your new flat ok & that your neighbours are ok too.

Marsch giving an insight of going on's in the dressing room - quite a few heads been talked to it appears of late.

On Summerville - "It was a little bit of everything [that needed improving]: making sure that he was getting here early enough, making sure that he was putting work in in the gym, that he was preparing for training the right way, that he was paying attention to video, that he was applying the lessons that we wanted to learn in training every day.

"He loves the match, right? But it was more about like helping him understand what the entire process of being a top professional is and making sure that he's committed to it all the way,” Marsch added.

On his requested senior players 'council' inputs - The American named seven first-team players as part of his ‘leadership council’ upon assuming charge in February. Club captain Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling, Adam Forshaw, Stuart Dallas, Rodrigo and Kalvin Phillips became Marsch’s trusted dressing room confidantes.

This season, due to injuries sustained by all six remaining squad leaders, Marsch admits it has been more difficult to draw on their experience and advice on matchdays. However, the 48-year-old’s revelation that he sought support from selected squad members during the team’s winless run indicates his leadership group remain at the forefront of his thinking.

Makes you wonder regarding team selection does it not on 'who is in & who is out' & who is in charge.

    The second paragraph on Summerville.
Making sure he was getting here early enough.
Ffs. Does he not know how to get out of bed in the morning!
I'm pretty sure he's not clocking in at 8 am with a packed lunchbox under his arm.
Another fu ckin pampered premier primadonna.

Yep Summerville seems like a majority of young talented lads, who think they can just go out and play football without taking on any information regards team duties.

More worrying is this "leadership council", ridiculous term for a football team and way too many involved. Markedly (with KP gone) their all older and could probably be viewed by a different manager as fringe players, not healthy

Imagine young Summerville getting lady-lucky on his evening out and then getting a Whatsapp phone call (or 6) from his mentors sat in beds in their pyjamas sipping on their coco, bet he loves their 24/7 concern.

Don't knows which bed he struggles to get out of in arriving late but it ain't mine as he wouldn't have any extended energy left to arrive at all ! 🤣

He'd declared after Liverpool win he was flying home to Rotterdam for his 21st birthday to be with family.
Marsch said no & that he had to attend the players Halloween party instead - jeez, I'd bet Summerville would have rather taken a midnight phone call from Ayling sat up in bed with his long hair curlers in.
