You see I think its totally right people should be allowed to make a point about Qatar or any other countries atrocious human rights, I would conduct my ire at FIFA for caving into the Qatari Royal family. Still not fully forgiven the SFA for going to Chile to play, On the very pitch where huners of people were executed... Suppose some folk don't care I do.

And folks are very selective about who they have a dig at when it comes to human rights and oppression related gesturing. So far just the English and Germans are getting it on here, but no seems bothered about the Welsh, Spanish, Belgians, Dutch, Danes, French, Norwegians, Swedes and Swiss - all of whom planned to wear it, and many of whom are up in arms about FIFAs threats .

Now, I'm not sure an armband and kneeling is really the best way to get make a difference (not going in the first place would have had a much bigger impact - good for Scotland for throwing the play-off in protest), but if those who are participating feel strongly about it (and aren't just bandwagon jumpers), then who are we to criticise. And it certainly elicits a reaction from people who get more worked up than they really should do, about something they claim to not care about.........so maybe, in retrospect, it is the best way to get a message across!

Just concentrate on the football and don't get so worked up about something that isn't doing you any harm

    I confused by VAR.
Why was the fanny dancer Ronaldo's dive not checked?

Because his god like persona transcends the game and it's rules, and fifa dare not question his supremecy

Speaking of Chile's human rights atrocities - a wonderful headline (in a rag I can't remember), when thatcher visited their former leader on his death bed, read "former right wing dictator visits General Pinochet in hospital"

Oh, absolutely. I'm amazed the other teams are even allowed to look in his general direction

Without going into the Human Rights abuses all over the wurld, It's my opinion a stand has to be made against all forms of oppression and abuse of folks human rights, racism etc . Freedom of expression is a valued freedom we have to show our concerns. Footballers are also individuals who have the right to express their view's. My post was mostly aimed at FIFA who seem to produce the most corrupt and selfish presidents and Infantino's nonsense "speech" was laughable ..Today Im Black, Gay, blah blah.. Aye don't forget Hypocritical you were that inaw. FIFA's own slogan "Football unites the world" is a joke after their recent behavior.

I saw a great stat the other day - apparently we have invaded every country playing in the world cup. Although I don't remember us invading Switzerland.
