    How mint is this, man

The club are pledging £150 000 to the West End food bank.

We all knew the owners were going to invest in the region but this is above and beyond, imo.

Fuck me, we have a club to be proud of.

(meanwhile, the lunatics from down the road are painting this as a bad thing...their hatred for us and their bitterness over the takeover has genuinely unhinged them)

Yes, too true, and when you think of it critics like you name above can't claim it's a publicity stunt on the club's behalf as those who benifit will be lads and lasses from families who can't afford the luxury of buying a match ticket.

Amazing how the Tories have managed to normalise the existence of foodbanks, worse foodbanks for working people. Fair play for the donation though, but these places should not even exist.

I'd rather a child got a meal than not wherever the money comes from. Ignore the haters. Shame on the government and big business profiteering.

    That's great to see.

I gave 280 porridge pots to my local homeless charity/food bank earlier this month. Was on the streets myself in 2015 albeit only briefly and it's bloody horrible, this time of year especially. Makes me more grateful for what i have now though

    How?

    How?

How can this be in anyway portrayed as a bad thing?

Aye though zip, it is great and shows what a force for good that engaged owners can be for the area.

Cheers, it could have been worse than it was. I had money and didn't go hungry. Slept in a tent mostly and sofa surfed at some random peoples houses i met online. During the day i went to coffee shops and sat in a train stations waiting room. Must be ten times worse if you're a woman and it's for a prolonged period of time

Just signed up to that AmazonSmile. They automatically donate 0.5% of every purchase to the West End food bank. Makes sense for me to do it as i spend thousands on there every year
