    Luke Williams to Portsmouth?

Now the favourite for the Portsmouth job. The fact that he's appeared from nowhere and become the favourite worries me. The Pompey CEO knows Williams from his time at Milton Keynes too, and it's him that is picking the new manager. It could be a very interesting couple of days...

    He won’t go anywhere.

I hope you are right! This couldn't have come at a worse time though. LW is inevitably going to be asked about it now, which unless he rules himself out could unsettle a few in the dressing room. I can imagine the people of Wrexham cannot believe their luck with this timing.

While I am concerned about LW potentially departing, I'm still not sure a club with aspirations of getting to the Championship would take a punt on LW yet.

While he's done a great job here, he's still yet to achieve anything but a relegation with Swindon in his career and I can imagine they'll go for someone more experienced at their level before LW, Liam Manning perhaps.

It would certainly be a bold appointment, but the more i think about it the more it makes sense. As i said the CEO knows Williams, and Pompey had scouts at our games watching Langstaff as Danny Cowley wanted him. You mention Manning ironically that's who i could see us getting, if LW were to leave for any reason.

It certainly would be very Notts of us for the best manager we've had for years to leave half way through our best season ever results wise.

Let's just hope that, as with our appointment of LW, the bookies odds are a load bs, and that today's game isn't the last time we see LW in the Notts dugout.

    Fingers crossed...

It would be very, very high risk for him to leave the job now and go anywhere else. So far this season is the best thing he's ever put on a CV.

Can't see it. Big risk both sides, limited track record for LW so far (for all the wonders he's done with us). Then again could say the same about IB.

Saw someone threw in Michael Doyle's name - that really would be leftfield, but he was their club captain as a player.

This would be a fantastic appointment for them. Knows the club, wealth of experience- ready for the step up. No brainer - sign the contracts now (c’mon NCM, spread the word)

That statement means sweet FA in football
I wouldn't be surprised if Pboro & Barry Fry aren't looking at LW (& Langstaff )after McCann left them
