I said a week ago that I wasn’t worried. Maybe it’s just part of being a Notts fan but I’m now slightly worried, particularly if the owner knows LW.
Hopefully just a coincidence that Harley and not LW did the pre-game presser!

If you were to stroll through all the football managerial gossip, i.e. possible comings and goings; maybe sackings, possible hirings, rumours and whispers. Then you would find your club and manager somewhere amongs the imaginative B.S. Remember, someone somewhere is making a living filling his newspaper with such imaginings based on what he thinks his readers will, or will want to believe.

Yep & lets face it, how many times has Notts manager odds changed when we are recruiting. We know all it takes is someone to put big money on somebody & up the list they go even if not on it.
Wrexham fans could be doing it for a laugh for all we know in the hope of unsettling the club & fans

When a relatively low profile figure goes rapidly up the betting in a next manager race, there’s usually something in it, so it’s a bit of a concern. The fact that the CEO has worked with LW before makes it more credible. Kin ell. Don’t do it Luke!

    I had a wheelbarrow...

Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if he goes, assuming they really are interested in him. He's clearly a cracking coach. I just hope he sticks around a bit longer to finish what he's started. If he gets us promoted and establishes us as a decent L2 side, there will be plenty more job offers down the line.

Time to see what he really thinks of these superb owners, fantastic club and the exciting long term project. His answers post match will say a lot.

"Don't believe the hype" or in this case rumours.

Underperforming clubs at higher levels will always be rumoured to be interested in overperforming managers at lower levels.

Same with interest in our players it just means we have recruited very well#radarlove

I thought this had been done to death in the past with that Norwegian Faroe Islands chap that it only takes a bet or two to entirely alter new manager appointment odds as nobody bets on it. I could not see a club as big as Portsmouth taking a punt on a non league manager after their experiment with another slightly risky appointment failed. Trust in the radar and the radar will trust in you.

At the same time, every standout manager we've had this century has left us for a team higher up the pyramid. Managers, like players, are ambitious. Money obviously matter, too - like it does for everyone. I do believe that Notts represent a unique opportunity for a manager like LW. You won't find a more appealing project with as much potential upside in the lower leagues (I'm not including Wrexham here because I doubt LW would enjoy the Hollywood circus much). But Portsmouth are a big club with a lot of potential. It all boils down to whether LW would want to roll the dice or not.
