Can’t see that being a problem what’s he on a year probably £50 - £55k a year? Paid in instalments with an initial £50k upfront compensation works out at nothing for a club that size.

According to 888, the average manager salary in Div 1 is £180,000 per year, Div 2 is £80,000… so you’re in the right ball park for non league salary.

If Portsmouth… one of the wealthier clubs in Div 1… come in for Williams, he would immediately increase his salary by £130,000 minimum.

As you say… compensation would be nothing to Portsmouth.

He didn't do the pre match interview the other day though, Ryan did. Was Luke away in Portsmouth?? They'd have to pat 2 and half years of his contract off as well to get him.

He’s done three or four this season and they’ve all been like that. I find them hilarious, man just gives the most straightforward and simple answers possible, no interest in elaborating at all haha. He’s one step past just saying yes or no.

Don’t see any reason to worry about this - we saw from our own experience in the summer that unless someone goes heavily odds on, the betting markets on these are basically irrelevant. This is just a case of someone realising LW knows the Chief Exec there and deciding it’s worth a tenner.

I don't think he'll leave this season, he's in the middle of trying to get up which would be a great boost for him and the club. I would hope we could match any wage he'd be offered and that he wants to take Notts back up the leagues, it's not the worst project to be involved with and the club is a good place to work. I think he'll be with us for this season and next.
