For me, the buck stops with one man. Jack Ross. If it was a deliberate act by the players to down tools in order to lose the manager his job, they would've turned that form around as soon as he left. They didn't. It wasn't for another four months, after a five week break away from football, that they managed to exercise those demons and start looking like a football team again. Confidence was completely shot. Their was a clear mental fragility right through the squad. I'm not saying Fox is the man, but whatever he did during the World Cup break has seen an upturn in results. I feel like some folk are completely ignoring the post World Cup form to suit their own narrative at times. Let's get today out of the way and see where we are at the end of April as, imo, we have nine very winnable games.

So it was a deliberate act by the players to down tools but you say the buck stops with one man? A deliberate act to lose 0-9 at home in front of record season ticket holders? So it was fk the fans,fk the coach.....actually it was a big fk you to everyone connected with the club.

That's the complete opposite of what I'm saying.

I looked back on JRs managerial results with his old teams a few weeks back and he'd never lost by 9 before or 8 or 7 or 6, he lost 5 in a 5-4 loss to Coventry with Sunderland and a few 4s with Hibs and and St Mirren but nothing out of the ordinary like the 7 and 9 conceded with us.......in 7 games🙄

Possibly, but it's just my opinion, and realistic one going on current form. Their home record is pretty good.

The point is it was 100% the responsibility of Jack Ross to manage this set of players and get positive results. He was an unmitigated disaster at this. It doesn't matter what the players did, he didn't get them playing for him (in fact the opposite seems to be true) so he's a failure. It really is as simple as that.

His biggest problem was his insistence on playing a back 4 and wanting to play entertaining football. We excel at delivering crap cagey football with at least 6 defenders in the team. This current team play a brand of football that bores me to tears so much so i havnie seen my season ticket for months.

Exactly, it's your opinion as a user of an online message board. No danger the players will be going into this match with the same attitude. It bemuses me that folk confuse these things to be honest.

Its also the responsibility of professional football players to be able to play a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formation that has been coached into them since their introduction to 11 a side football.
