    Notts' ‘secret weapon’ striker?

Just seen an article in the NEP where LW says we have a player in the squad who could play as a striker although that isn’t his main position….no-one really screams out to me though. Jones? Rawlo?!

    Any speculative ideas?

Sounds to me as though we were after a striker and aren't going to get the one we want.
Talking of a secret striker in the squad sounds like an admission we are short.
We are short of a couple of defenders as well imo.
The National League does have a cut off date for new signings sometime in March (don't know the date exactly) - so we are in a window.

I’d say him too… as a target man. He’s not to bad getting the ball under control either.

I don’t think it’s so much an admission we’re short but as he says they can’t get a striker of real quality as he’s not going to guarantee them game time ahead of Langstaff and Scott, sounds like if one gets injured we have loan targets.
As for the striker, he says they can play there effectively. Neither Cameron or Rawlinson have ever been used there for us or anyone else to my knowledge. I think it’s probably Jones, if not Bostock as he started out as one.

Rodriguess. Can play as a straight up no 10 and did under Burchnall when he first took over from Ardley. Good in the air and a tidy finisher.

It might’ve been an idea of the reporter(s) to do their job and actually ask the manager who he meant. 🤦*♂️

Bostock is a fair shout. That would be a great way to surprise the opposition!
