    Coventry City Post Match Thoughts

It's all starting to look quite familiar. Not in the bottom 3 yet but it's coming surely? Has the optimism of the transfer window evaporated already? Can we even buy a goal? Knowing us we'll probably go and win on Tuesday night but the way things are looking that's just pie in the sky.

    Thoughts?

Ive got to say that since the new manager came in I have not seen anything to convince me that he can keep us up this season.

3 strikers on at the end and still created nothing. Hopefully some will realise that certain individuals aren't the problem (Hugill etc). Our issue is plain and obvious, we cannot create. 2 big lads and Washington, not one decent ball in the box. Chieo has never been able to cross, Fosu refuses to, Bramall either gave it away today (95% of the time, painful) or his crosses were crap.

No strikers would score in our team.

We won't win on Tuesday. I effin hate saying it, but we won't. Not a chance.

There are times watching the Millers when I can't see where the next goal will come from and I am feeling like that right now. We played all our attackers at different times today. Ok, Hugill scored a decent goal which was disallowed and he should have scored later, but the other forwards all lack quality. Compare them to Coventry's expensive striker. Feeling doom and gloom just now with other teams at the bottom winning. We are certainly missing Barlaser. Coventry just not the same player.

Like others have said, where are the goals going to come from? No width, terrible set pieces, no clue.

Hugill HAD to take that chance in the first half. No idea what he brings that the other strikers don’t.

Glad I had a family birthday today, one win in 13 games is terrible

We were the better team in the first half and had lots of clear chances. They dug deep and saw us off with the use of every trick in the book but we should have scored!

They played football for 5 minutes but we couldn’t cope!

    Then plan B!

    Well we all wanted one!

We have a forrud on the field that makes a bit of a difference in Hugill and we play him alone. We have 3 forruds and can’t try owt!

Not been as disappointed in years!

For the first time under MT I had no idea what the formation was supposed to do. Coventry's defence must have had the easiest 90 mins all season with no support for Hugill. I just didn't get why we left all those strikers on the bench and started a home game with a lone central striker who was literally left on his own to fight for the ball with little or no assistance.
Coventry are a decent team as they showed today, and were well worth the win, but both goals we conceded were very avoidable and we just didnt have the quality to open them up.
I thought Chieo looked a lot more like his normal self and he was my MOM but we were beaten by a very decent team IMO, and now our strikers are all starting to get some match action we need to set up more positively, especially at home, so let's get behind the lads for the normal bumpy ride we endure at this level. I'm lost for words. Move on to the next game. Leo he's got to come in for Bramall who was giving ball to them most of the game. Can't understand bench what's point of having both Eaves & Kelly on it sooner see Kioso on it for one of them. Him or Harding at right back like to see. Chieo did ok.
