I guess you have never watched GB News BFP so doubt you are in a position to comment. I guess you can't stomach a bit of balanced debate though. It seems to be a thing with Lefties these days, if it is not what you want to hear you just try and belittle whoever is giving their opinion. It is a shame really as socialists are supposed to be the caring ones, but in truth are far more likely to be rather nasty.
I think you have to give some credit to the Tory party here. They've clearly not sat back on their laurels content with ruining the country, our economy, our industries, our health service etc - all things within the usual government remit.
Somehow they've found time to also ruin things outside the usual government remit like the nations long-running and most-popular sports TV programme. This move clearly shows how hard they are working to ruin as much as possible before they eventually have to leave government in January 2025.
It's been a long-term aim of this Tory party to destabilise the BBC - mainly to coin favour with it's rival broadcasters like Sky (and by proxy News international-ownee sister companies like The Sun and The Times etc). Franky, they're doing a very thorough job of it.
For anyone who likes the idea of watching football highlights without a Sky subscription - or indeed of a news channel and national broadcaster not owned by a tycoon with ulterior motives - we just have to hope the BBC still has enough left in the tank after January 2025 to be able to rebuild. This 100 year-old British institution is truly on its knees right now.
Might be worth taking a step back from this if something as simple as this gets you this wound up, you really don’t want to turn into ‘Heart Attack Bloke’ in the Pavis! 🙂
Clearly it’s now a case of the tail trying to wag the dog. We now live in a society where people think they have the right to do and say anything they want with out any consequences, for Lineker hopefully it’s the end of the line.

He compared the language used about refugees to language from 1930s Germany (which isn't just about the Nazis, but is part of what helped lead to the Nazis taking power).
It's an objectively correct observation. Talk of "invasion" and the UK being "overwhelmed" (by yearly numbers that wouldn't even fill the Etihad, or about 10 days of births) have stark echoes in the language of the Weimar Republic.
If he'd been in favour of the government policy, would you want him told he should keep his political leanings to himself? What about Alan Bloody Sugar? Should he be told the same? Why do you think he hasn't been?
Paul Embery is not "on the other side of the debate". He's a pro-Brexit, anti-left GBeebies commentator. He wrote a book subtitled "Why the Modern Left Loathes the Working Class". He's a cultural conservative, self-identified. A main thesis of that book, as I read it, is that "the poor (white) people really had no choice but to turn to fascism". And again Lineker is right.
Looks like David Attenborough is now being cancelled to appease this snowflake government too...

In the most literal sense it now seems the entirety of the BBC (including sports and wildlife programming) is governed by 'Political Correctness'.
