Quote from Taylor in this weeks Advertiser… “Woody’s still very much part of it. He is the old-school centre-half we want and we need”

If Wood is what we want and need, Why isn’t he involved? A statement like that just makes Taylor look a bit daft in my opinion.

MT there's still time to get us back in the game. You've got put what's not working right as close as you can do. I want us in championship next season we can do it. I've said what I'd do. Leave it to you.

So you’ll leave it to the manager. Very nice of you.

If he listens to me it would either work or it wouldn't there's no inbetween! I'd love Wiles back ASAP. Rathbone straight after break back.

Pretty certain we’d be down already if he did.

Be nothing to do with me if we go down. Last transfer window was too big a risk getting Morrison but he was type of centre back we needed. Also we're short now of a player to take free kicks corners in certain situations.

Suffice to say that Wood is about 40 miles too far north
Common knowledge about Wood going to the Chairman when Taylor had managed to anger several of the senior players crashing the squads spirit.

That was dealt with, New blood has come in. No secret that Wood wants to join Warne.

I think we must respect the fact that those in the know want to keep quiet, so their contacts don't get into trouble. From some comments it seems that Wood is doing something with Derby. The only thing that matters to us is that we stay up, I expect the club management (playing and none) to deal with it in a way that isn't detrimental to the team, to be honest I am struggling to see what he could have possibly done to be kicked-out like this. If he wants to be at Derby then he can in the summer, and a sensible deal should have been struck, a passionate Woody wanting to keep Rotherham up would make a positive difference to our chances. What interests me about the Derby inference is what does it say about PW? If he yet again is doing things to hurt the club shows what sort of person he really is, because nothing could be happening between Derby and Wood if PW wasn’t behind it. He needs to remember he was the next level up from the kit man when he was given a chance by TS, and the club stuck with him through 3 relegations, I hope there is nothing in this, because such behaviour is disgraceful. Obviously without knowing the facts all we can do is speculate.

The Wood situation is what it is

I’m sure both parties would admit they could’ve acted differently in hindsight but while he is here o am sure he is professional enough to
Still do a job when called upon.

I feel for MT because one by one he has lost the 3 best midfielders at the club. 2 to injury and one to Boro’s bench. Every week we start with a different back 4 so cannot get any consistency.
I also feel the players know that they just need 2 more wins to be safe and some of them are coasting until the international break.

Where I have questioned his decisions is the formation. Why are we persisting with Hugill up top alone unless we are bombing in crosses?
    Washington brings energy and guile.
We have stopped being a threat from set pieces and even more worryingly stopped pressing the ball when out of possession.

The rain papered over some huge cracks yesterday. A very average Cardiff team looked like galacticos.
I lost count how many times their number 5 had time to ping the ball out wide to feet without laying a glove on him
