Sorry I'm not a fan of Chicksen. He had a few good games early on but then.....too one dimensional.

You're hard to please! He's had a great season. Well deserving of a new deal.

With a bit of time to reflect, I'm shocked that quite a few posters want our captain gone and a large part of it is because he keeps getting fouled when shielding the ball! Maybe some still prefer the 'kick it out into touch" approach. Well, LW bases everything on possession, even playing every corner short, so Cam is not going to give them the ball that way.
It really isn't his fault that players pile into his back and don't have the nous to jockey and force Cam into a decision. Refs will continue to give it because you can't plough through a player to get the ball. It's a foul! We're just not used to seeing it in those areas of the pitch so often.

Cameron's been a great success in his two years at Notts. When the nigh-on ever-present captain of a record-breaking team doesn't have fans' support you really have to wonder.

I think he'd be bitterly disappointed if he knew this - fortunately the vast majority of fans appreciate all that he contributes.

Bitterly disappointed??? AC you've fallen into the trap of judging the fanbase's general view based on a handful of posters opinions on NCM.

NCM, nor twitter nor Facebook will ever be a good barometer for the views of the fanbase#onlyonNCM Thank god

NCM is an echo chamber, and hopefully something the players tend to avoid.

I do agree regarding with you comments re the push in the back/Cameron falling. Loads of players do it when they find themselves in a spot of trouble. Some view it as embarrassing, i find it amusing , wry smile territory. He waits for the inevitable contact from the over enthusiastic opposition player directly behind him. It's almost always given as a foul. Put it this way how many times has that scenario played out with our captain and he's not been awarded the free kick this season?

Hopefully the opinion isn't shared by a minority, similar to here, across the wider fanbase. The player could be forgiven for feeling pissed off if it was. We're talking about the released list here. For the captain of a record-breaking side!

I wouldn't worry about it. A lot of IFs involved for any player to be p!sswd off or bitterly disappointed.

NCM does not reflect the fanbase, it just doesn't.

True. I'm with you, it's clever play it a difficult situation, and it's a foul.

I think he is constantly playing with fire in dangerous positions of the pitch. I remember at least twice this season where, in my opinion, he has dived and the referee hasn’t been fooled….resulting in a goal for the opposition. I’d be interested to hear others views of his clever buying of free kicks if the same thing happens in the playoffs, which is very possible. There’s just no reason for it either a lot of the time, he could easily just clear up the situation like most defenders do when in trouble.

He is regularly out of position, is very suspect at diagonal balls going into that side of the pitch, prone to errors and rash challenges and has a general air of false over confidence about him….he is starting to scare me. His argument on the pitch with Matty Palmer against Woking got me wondering what was going on as well, and he couldn’t let it go, following Matty around the pitch to have the final say.

He is the captain of a record breaking side, but our defending from the front has hidden our defensive frailties a lot this season, making our defence look stronger than it really is.
