If one makes, in the words of Bertie Wooster (PG Wodehouse) when assessing the charms of his pal Gussie Fink-Nottle’s choice of fiancée, one’s choice “without walking the full length of the counter”, pointing and laughing with schadenfreude on stilts is to be expected.

Quite why you feel the need to set virtual foot in here does tend to suggest that the previously-stated view that “the Jutes want to BE us so much that it must hurt” may have a kernel of truth in it innit.

Here's the thing tho, when ye speak o' poison.
