Saudi clubs buying up Chelsea players

Mixed feelings on this subject from many people.

Personally i was loving the thought of them struggling to balance the books and was thinking that they would be struggling for a couple of seasons before they were back on an even budget.

However many fans of other clubs are not so happy with many venting their anger. Most of the complaints coming from other "greedy 6" fans. Some of the feelings are below

PIF invest billions into Clearlake, the company who owns Chelsea

PIF are buying up all of their players (after Todd Bohelly met with Saudi officials) giving them the funds to get themselves out of trouble and carry on spending what they want!

    Do PIF own Chelsea?

Newcastle fans must be furious their owners are funding their rivals!

PIF are paying more than market value for players that would be sold for less out of desperation to sell!

How can Villa, Newcastle or anyone else establish themselves when the Saudi's are bailing out the top clubs?

FFP is not fair, the Saudi's have killed the game (this is my personal favourite, a Man Utd fan's opinion. WOW the ignorance)

I can see where some of the complaints are coming from and why people might be reacting like this.
    It definitely raises some questions

My own opinion is, Saudi Arabia is trying to strengthen their own league ready for their world cup bid for 2030,
I can see the buying up lots of players over the next few years that are past their prime but can still offer something, they have taken advantage of Chelsea because they have many players surplus to requirements and they wont try to rip the Saudi's off like Spurs or Manure would do.

I would not be surprised if the greedy cartel kick up such a stink on this that they try to get new rules brought in

Someone on here jokingly suggested that these PIF-owned Saudi clubs could pay huge sums for Messi and Benzema then loan them to us and I think we all smiled wryly and thought 'just imagine the outcry if this was allowed.

Whilst this isn't exactly the same, it's not far off. Chelsea have got out of jail massively and will be able to spend big for the 3rd window in a row.

It also shows that, whilst the Reubens and Amanda Staveley/Merhdrad Ghodoussi are all about NUFC, in terms of PIF, we're a smaller cog in their machine than maybe some of us realised?

Whilst we all want to think that PIF have NUFC at the very heart of their footballing project, the reality is we are merely a pawn in the grand scheme of things.

They are clearly wanting to make the Saudi league a super league rather than the overpaid retirement home it is currently viewed as. Players with big reputations that aren’t currently playing first team football will be their priority targets and top European clubs with huge squads of international players will benefit first. Chelsea an obvious starting point.

We, meanwhile, are bound by FFP and given our outlay in recent windows, many of us would do well to remember where we have come from in such a short time and not get ahead of ourselves. I’m expecting one high profile signing and probably some unheard of youngsters to bolster the squad. We’re not Real Madrid. Yet.

aye you might be right mate.
Although, the more i have thought about it, the more im changing my mind.
Why would they wait 18 months for a takeover if its just to raid the premier leagues top clubs for players?

Then something has occurred to me, the Saudi's are well known for biding their time and being the best, so if they engage in getting players from the big clubs for the next couple of years and its allowed with no outcry, then the precedent is set.

Theres nothing from them then raiding our club and buying the likes of Hendrick, Lascelles, Dummett, Ritchie for good fee's etc ( obviously i use these players as an example ) but the equivalent of them in 2 years time, players past their best that we need to move on.

Maybe im clutching at straws lol

Here's a hypothetical: If the owners of PIF decided to pay Newcastle 20 million for Matty Longstaff, 15 million for Paul Dummett etc, etc.... and make them play in the Saudi League, would these funds not count in the books, to be offset for the purchase of a player we spend 35 million on?

This is the sort of RORT I'm sure those KUNTS at Chelsea are up to their @rseholes in !!!!!

Mind, they'd have to spend another £20 million on suncream if Matty Longstaff had to play in Saudi Arabia.

This is all a non story.

    A steaming pile of Boll0cks.

Chelsea's biggest sale is to Arsenal for Kai Havertz who has been a massive flop for £67.5m - not 1 word from the same clowns pushing this stupid Saudi Conspiracy agenda. If he was signing for Al-Hilal they'd all be calling corruption.

Anyone who thinks there is some Chelseas PiF scam going on doesn't have a clue about international wealth funds, international business or the basic premise of capital investment on the most fundamentally basic levels.

Here is the 2030 vision PDF 85 pages of reading. Doubt anyone will go thought it and truly educate themselves on the project but here you go.
