    Captain Tom’s daughter!

What a disgrace to the memory of her dad.

Poor old lad must be turning in his grave.

Shocked Mick and heartbreaking!! My point on another thread - many of those with money are the meanest and greediest of them all!

Chief execs of charities pay themselves obscene amounts of money. They are not charities but huge money making businesses generating money that line the pockets of dozens of troughers. Here is a very small list of Chief Executive yearly salary

    CAPT TOM FOUNDATION (ingram-Moore) - £85,000 PA
    RNLI - £160,000 PA
    NSPCC - £173,000 PA
    BARNARDOS - £209,000 PA
BBC CHILDREN IN NEED EXEC - £134,000 PA
    RSPCA - £140.000 PA
    CANCER RESEARCH - £247,000 PA
    MACMILLAN - £170,000 PA
BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION - £210,000 PA

And the list goes on , now you see why these charities are advertising on TV every five minutes of the day, its to generate money to keep paying for ads so the troughers keep their gigantic salaries. How much is actually being used for the cause they promote? Just imagine if they actually used all this charity money to solve the issues they actually promote then their income stream would be no more and big pay days would end. I often wonder if a cure for cancer really does exist but is forever covered up.

Thanks Phil. I would be interested to know about Oxfam

Apparently the Chief exec for Oxfam gets around £121,000 pa plus some 'fringe benefits' when visiting African countries. Oxfam, yet another scandal infested charity. Most in the top charity jobs get nearly all their household bills paid for them in expenses.

Motability made a whopping £526.6 m in profit in 2021, up from £101.8 m the previous years. This profit remained in the scheme and some money did go back to members when handing back vehicles after their 3 year term in good condition (in our case this was considerably more than the original advance payment). Nevertheless, some £3.4 m of this was paid to its directors, £1.6 m in salary, the rest in bonuses and pension contributions. The top paid executive got a (combined) £966k!

The service we have had from Motability over the years has been excellent and it is still cheaper than leasing cars through other companies /dealers but whilst I understand that their executives are going to be paid somewhere near the ball park figures that others running similar sizes businesses are paid, these amounts certainly look questionable given its charitable status.

    Motability is a p I s s take.

The family that ruined my father in laws house and cost him £40k in lost rent and legal fees are all driving new and nearly new Motobility cars including a Volvo 4x4 and a brand new Corsa for the 17 year old son.

NONE of them are actually ill, they are just fleecing the system.

Too many are allowed into this scheme.

I have purchased three houses which were all probate cases. Always greed when families inheriting as on two properties everything was stripped including light bulbs!

I didn’t want anything when my mum passed apart from photos and about to inherit a chunk of a nice property in Quinton from a family member I didn’t know. Couldn’t be bothered to be honest and will probably donate it!

Don't doubt that a whole range of benefits are still being misused but to be eligible for the motability scheme you need to save been awarded the higher mobility element of either PIP or DLA (currently £64.50/week) which is what is used to pay for the lease and I know this is getting harder to get. Not all car manufacturers are on the scheme and those that are only do certain models. You pay higher advance payments for larger or high spec cars (well beyond our own means)

The reason you may see non disabled drivers of motability cars is because (as in our case) they are parents or carers. If you see big high spec ones it is because neither PIP nor DLA are means tested so richer people can afford the big advance payments.

    NONE of this family work.

They’ve “made” the son join the sick clan with the rest of them.

He’s actually on FB taking the p I s s with his brand new car.

The wife has a top of the range 4x4 despite not working, multiple CCJ’s and constant letters to the address from collection agencies for debts in the tens of thousands of £’s.

    A complete joke.
