Because she/he was of legal age.

Anyone aged 16 or over can legally have s e x with anyone aged 16 or over, it doesn’t matter if the two involved are 16 and 90.

It would seem that the mother approached the BBC two months ago to get them to ask this man to stop.

She’s approached The Sun about it and NOT asked for a fee.

That doesn't put this particular pervert in the clear, it is illegal to engage in $exual activity with any vulnerable individual under the age of 18. I'd imagine that includes exchanging explicit photos or facetiming whilst sat on the sofa in your shreddies. Piers Morgan has said we'll all be shocked when we find out who it is. Also saw a comment from someone who seemed to know who it is stating it's not an entertainer or sporting personality, I don't think we'll have too long to wait before we find out.
