It's ridiculous that some people have written him off after two friendlies.

Played golf today with a Port Vale ST holder.
He said we’ve signed a very good keeper in Stone and his distribution is class.
I thought the accuracy of his distribution was good on Saturday, just not who he chose to play it to, at times.
I’m sure he’ll be an asset to the team.

Some get written off before they've even pulled the shirt on
Yeah but durhampie says he's dodgy though.
Ridiculous but expected #viva
Pre-season games - my least favourite part of the football calendar.
Pre-season is only about arriving at Game 1 of the season in optimum shape. It's important because we never want to be like the Nolan team again - not ready to do yourself justice.
But the pre-season games themselves and the results don't matter at all and you should never draw conclusions from meaningless games with players just off the beach and the managers trying out all sorts of different stuff.
It really is Football 101
I say it as I see it, and not what other people have told me.. His first two games didnt exactly give me the wow facture... Hopefully he will get much better..
Stone is a classic football radar signing for me. A 23 year old goalkeeper that is probably not the finished article that has massive room to improve his game under decent coaching.
I'm not 100% sure he will play all 46 games, he is going to make mistakes as all goalkeepers do. Slocombe may get game time at some points, but Stone is a huge asset to the club in that he fits the style of how we are looking to play.
The crap that Slocombe got at times last year for his distribution was at times unfair but he was being asked to do something he is not set up to do. Stone is that keeper.
